SHERWIN-WILLIAMS: Redend Point

Sherwin-Williams announced that a calming, neutral color called Redend Point is the 2023 Color of the Year. Redend Point is a middle ground between natural beige and inviting blush. The shade evokes comforting, earthy, and warm feelings - soulful and subtle, minimal and cozy, infused with desert vibes and layers of emotion.

“There was so much conversation about this idea of empathy and care culture that we were seeing in the macro trend world, and we tied that to the warmer energy of certain earth-type colors,” said Sue Wadden, Sherwin-Williams’s director of color marketing. “Then, it was just a matter of determining the right color, which ended up being Redend Point. People have been drawn to nature-inspired and earthy tones the past couple years, and this is something that will continue into 2023 and beyond.”

Pairing well with natural textures and other neutrals, this color is sure to add feelings of comfort, coziness, and eathiness to a space. Embrace the versatility of Redend Point in your 2023 designs! Whether you’re switching up your wall color, adding accent decor, re-doing cabinetry, or even placing a custom color order for HVAC grilles in Redend Point through our website - this color is sure to add character and natural elements to your next design.

BENJAMIN MOORE: Raspberry Blush

Benjamin Moore has announced Raspberry Blush as their 2023 Color of the Year - a very distinct coral tinged with pink that is said to encourage confidence and awaken the senses. The definition of charismatic color, this vivid shade of red orange is a bold statement communicating color, shape and sound.

To celebrate this color, Benjamin Moore partnered with electro-funk duo Chromeo to honor the upbeat and vibrant tone of the entire 2023 palette collection. The song, aptly titled 'Raspberry Blush', highlights the creative role that color plays in self-expression for artists - in this instance, the musical direction is influenced by the color.

Add a subtle note of Raspberry Blush by painting an archway or accent wall, or envelop yourself completely by splashing on the walls, ceiling and trim to create a fearless color statement. This hue is not for the feint of heart, it's an unapologetic celebration of life loaded with opulence and optimism.

GLIDDEN AND PPG: Vining Ivy

Glidden and PPG’s 2023 Color of the Year is Vining Ivy - a moody and earthy, jewel-toned shade somewhere in between green and blue. This color brings the outdoors in, setting a great backdrop for nature-inspired design combinations. Match this shade with deep-toned wood, bright white, or gold accents for a relaxing yet luxurious look. Whether it’s more blue or more green, that’s up to you! Either way, Vining Ivy is serving the restorative, colorful energy we all need.

"Consumers are seeking to simplify in this post-COVID era, as the past two years have shed a new light on the importance of serenity and little moments," said Ashley McCollum, Glidden color expert, in a press release. "Vining Ivy embodies this vibe perfectly. It is energizing yet grounding, and it works in literally any space. Its versatility takes the guesswork out of design, leaving consumers with more time to indulge in the things that matter most to them."

"Those who love this moody hue but are still feeling in-betweenish on how to bring it into their space can treat themselves to the understated elegance of a teal accent wall or serve up a statement by featuring Vining Ivy on their kitchen cabinetry," McCollum said. "Even the most modest spaces can benefit from the teal treatment. For those short on square footage but big on style, we recommend using this rich hue as bold contrast to a neutral palette, making a petite room feel plush."
