The Workshop space inside the House Beautiful Whole Home, designed by Stephanie Sabbe of Sabbe Interior Design, seamlessly blends homey elements of both work and play to become an all-in-one utility area. Complete with a work desk, laundry, storage space, and a doggy wash station, this resourceful area reminds you that the most mundane tasks can be filled with fun. From hosing off the dog after a pool day in the backyard, to jotting down tomorrow night’s dinner recipe, or having the kiddos fold their clothes on a Sunday - this space brings aspects of family and togetherness in the day to day.
The Designer: Stephanie Sabbe of Sabbe Interior Design
Create a variety of spaces for family time and conversations, using juxtaposing colors and textures to celebrate different flavors, and infusing the vibe of Fredericksburg, TX in the decor.
After looking at the house floor plan, Stephenie knew that she wanted to turn the basic utility room into a multi-purpose space. “I saw it as being a laundry room, dog-washing room, gift-wrapping room, potting station, flower-cutting area, extra storage...basically a catchall for anything functional you do in the house”. Adding a quiet nook with custom desk for early morning to-do lists and to enjoy that “first cup of coffee” helped separate the utility room from the kitchen and butler’s pantry.
