Job Opening: CNC Laser / Punch Operator


We are seeking a full time experienced CNC Laser / Punch Operator who can use Amada and/or Trumf machinery to perform jobs in a timely and accurate manner.

Description: Architectural Grille, a Division of Giumenta Corporation, located at 42 Second Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11215 is a family owned and operated manufacturing company that has been in business since 1945.

We are seeking a full time experienced CNC Laser / Punch Operator who can use Amada and/or Trumf machinery to perform jobs in a timely and accurate manner.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Amada and/or Trumf experience
  • Monitor and change tooling as needed
  • Load and unload material
  • Perform dimensional inspection of product as required
  • Enter programs into computer and maintain files
  • Review shop drawings and job orders to determine specifications and requirements
  • Set up gas tanks
  • Follow safety rules
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Amada and/or Trumf experience
  • Ability to foresee changes relevant to area of responsibility
  • Time management skills
  • Computer and electrical skills
  • Neat and organized
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to achieve intended objective
  • Ability to adapt to change

Working Conditions:

  • Manual dexterity to handle parts / items
  • May have to carry heavy items
  • Near vision which is the ability to see things at close range

Pay Scale:  TBD

FLSA Status: Non Exempt / Hourly

Bonus Bucket: (depends on hourly pay)

Benefit Enrollment Package: 60 Days

Introductory Period / Evaluation: 90 Days

Accrue PTO: Immediate

Paid Holidays: 30 Days

Performance Review: 180 Days

    Paid Time Off (PTO):

    • Beginning 1/1 after completion of two years: 12 PTO’s
    • Beginning 1/1 after completion of three years: 13 PTO’s
    • Beginning 1/1 after completion of four years: 14 PTO’s
    • Beginning 1/1 after completion of five years: 15 PTO’s
    • Beginning 1/1 after completion of six thru nine years: 20 PTO’s
    • Beginning 1/1 after completion of 10 years plus: 25 PTO’s
    • Bank up to 5 PTO’s per year

    After One Year:

    • Ability to contribute to the company 401(k) plan plus Safe Harbor Match of 100% of what you contribute, up to 4% of your salary
