Junior Machine Technician

Architectural Grille, a Division of Giumenta Corporation, located at 42 Second Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11215, is a family-owned and operated manufacturing company that has been in business since 1945.

We are currently seeking to add a Junior Machine Technician to our growing team. The hours will be either 6:30AM – 3:00PM or 9:00AM – 5:30PM.

This hands-on position will provide support to the Senior Machine Technician and the Factory Manager in performing maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and operating systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Opening or closing the facility and associated properties
• Working with the Senior Machine Technician and Factory Manager
• Assist with supervising staff in the maintenance department
• Assist in the repair and installation of plant machinery
• Assist with hands-on daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive maintenance and repair for all machinery, equipment, and tooling
• Performing daily tasks, including troubleshooting, repairing machinery, and operating systems, to ensure the smooth running of the facility
• Operating a forklift, scissor jack, and other machinery in the moving of material or equipment
• Submitting appropriate reports to the management team
• Performing other duties requested by the Senior Machine Technician & Factory Manager

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Prior experience with industrial manufacturing equipment or maintenance work
• Ability to work independently with guidance and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and follow basic machine and safety instructions.
• Flexibility to work outside of normal work hours, including weekends if needed.
• Must be neat, organized, and eager to learn new skills.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and tools is a plus.

Salary: $65,000 - $70,000

Introductory Period: 90 Days

After Thirty Days:
