February 4-6, 2014: Architectural Grille attended the 2014 International Builders Show (IBS) in Las Vegas, NV. The theme was “Expect More” and we definitely delivered it with a new booth design that interested building industry professionals and homeowners alike.
For the first time in history, IBS was combined with the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) to deliver Design & Construction Week. Offering 75,000 attendees over 1,700 exhibitors covering more than 650,000 square feet of floor space at the Las Vegas Convention Center, it was a successful show for everyone involved.
Stephen Giumenta, co-owner and design engineer at Architectural Grille was invited to attend the TEDxGowanus inaugural event this past Sunday, January 26th 2014 at The Green Building and 501 Union in Brooklyn, NY.
The one-day event brought together community leaders, artists, local business owners and residents with TED-style discussions ranging from the ongoing challenges of pollution in the Gowanus Canal, to the innovation of Street Creeks.
In 2012 Architectural Grille, along with our neighbors and friends, endured considerable damage from Hurricane Sandy. Our efforts and investments to rebuild and continue the growth our Brooklyn based company are taking shape.
One of our major accomplishments in the installation of our new roof-mounted solar array which will reduce our factory's carbon footprint by 258 metric tons of CO2 annually. We are very proud to be bringing Architectural Grille into the next generation of environmentally friendly and sustainable manufacturing here in New York City.
Based in Brooklyn, Architectural Grille is a three generation family business, started by Federico Giumenta in 1945 and carried on by his grandsons Stephen and Anthony Giumenta, has transformed from a brass handle metal working business to a state-of-the-art custom design and fabrication facility.
