PROJECT: Chatham High School Performing Arts Center

ARCHITECTURAL GRILLE recently worked with Parrette Somjen Architects + the John O'Hara Company on an exciting renovation project of the Chatham High School Performing Arts Center in New Jersey. The client wanted to incorporate elements of the Frank Lloyd Wright® Signature Decorative Grille Collection to reflect Mid-Century Modern aesthetics.

Project Name: Chatham High School Performing Arts Center, Chatham Township, NJ

Project Details: 150 Panels featuring the Luxfer Lattice Major design from the Frank Lloyd Wright® Signature Decorative Grille Collection

Client Objective: The Chatham High School Auditorium was built in 1976 and the existing seating, flooring and wall coverings needed to be replaced. The renovation also took into account that the 700-seat facility did not comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standard and needed to be brought up to code. Architectural Grille was asked to fabricate decorative panels to cover two (2) large "sound chambers" with an allowance for the existing catwalk, as well as several other areas including staircase/railings infill panels and performance stage decorative panels.

Installation Date: November 2018

Architect: Parrette Somjen Architects - Matthew Wolchko

Contractor: John O'Hara Company - James Pittman

Estimator: Architectural Grille - Greg Bogusz
