ARCHITECTURAL GRILLE has been thrilled to partner once again with House Beautiful on their 2020 Whole Home Concept House. The third annual Whole Home Concept House was built by Nicholas Custom Homes in Colorado’s Fox Hill, an eco-friendly community built around a sustainable farm, and proceeds from tours benefit SECOR Cares, a Colorado-based nonprofit dedicated to serving those struggling with food insecurity. Read more about the project here.
Several rooms in the Whole Home Concept House feature our HVAC grilles and custom metalwork. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be offering an inside look at each and introducing you to the amazing designers we worked with. First up is everyone’s favorite room: the kitchen.
The Designer: Sarah Robertson of Studio Dearborn
The Task: Create a kitchen that’s both gorgeous to look at and made to be used daily
The Inspiration: Taking her inspiration from Fox Hill’s communal farm, gardens, and orchards, Robertson designed the perfect workspace to turn fresh produce into family meals. Featuring the Signature Kitchen Suite, plenty of smart storage, and two prep sinks, this kitchen is both utilitarian and roomy enough for multiple generations to cook side by side. Farm-inspired batten-style appliance panels complete the look and pay homage to the original Fox Hill farm.
