In a year in which many of us are staying inside a bit more, it’s no surprise that designers have sought to bring the natural world to indoor spaces. This year, organic shapes—guided by free-form designs and inspiration from the natural world—are turning up as a major trend.
Inspired in part by a larger societal move toward sustainability and green living, this trend veers away from sharp geometry and feels more fluid. Shapes inspired by everything from rocky cliffs to the meandering path of a river are showing up on rugs, candles, and even in clusters of chairs or picture frames.
The trend extends to materials and textiles. Wood, rope, and raffia each add an organic feel to a room, while neutral colors like tans, blues, and soft pinks bring to mind sunsets over sand and water.
Like nature itself, a strong organic shape can anchor a room in an unexpected and powerful way, adding a distinct sense of serenity and groundedness to a space. https://www.italianbark.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/interior-trends-organic-design.jpg
With the Cellular Perforated Grille, we wanted to explore the apparent randomness of cellular structures. In the organic shapes within the cell, we see beauty, perfection, and—of course—the optimal air flow and ventilation for any contemporary living space.
At ARCHITECTURAL GRILLE, we keep our eye on design so that we can provide our clients with metalwork that meets their needs, from grilles to custom pieces. Take a look at our vast array of grille designs to find one that perfectly complements your current project. If the perfect pattern doesn’t exist, we can create it.
