TRADESHOW: International Builders Show 2014 (Las Vegas, NV)

International Builders Show 2014

International Builders Show 2014 - Tradeshow Booth

February 4-6, 2014: Architectural Grille attended the 2014 International Builders Show (IBS) in Las Vegas, NV. The theme was “Expect More” and we definitely delivered it with a new booth design that interested building industry professionals and homeowners alike.

For the first time in history, IBS was combined with the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) to deliver Design & Construction Week. Offering 75,000 attendees over 1,700 exhibitors covering more than 650,000 square feet of floor space at the Las Vegas Convention Center, it was a successful show for everyone involved.

Stephen Giumenta at IBS 2014Stephen Giumenta, Design Engineer/Co-Owner at Architectural Grille, joined by Anthony Macchiarola (Director of Operations and Special Projects) and Adriana Yellachich (Brand Development Consultant) manned the booth for 3 full days. Attendees stopped by to say hi and check out our new design applications for custom fabrication in a range of materials on display, including aluminum, brass, bronze, steel, stainless steel, acrylic, wood, plywood and MDF.

Some highlights included:

  • Opening Ceremony headlined by General Stan McChrystal
  • The New American Home 2014 (National Association of Home Builders show home)
  • More than 100 education sessions covering a broad range of topics
  • Closing IBS Spike Concert featuring Pat Benatar
Stephen Giumenta, Stephen Fanuka & Vanilla Ice at Scripps Network lunch for IBS 2014

Shout out to Alexis Plauche and Shoshana Natt with Scripps Networks Interactive for taking the time to stop by & say hi!

Guess who Stephen ran into at the Scripps Networks Interactive lunch…90s rapper/pop icon Vanilla Ice and our very own NYC “Million Dollar Contractor”, Stephen Fanuka. Architectural Grille has had the pleasure to work with Stephen Fanuka in the past on several projects, so it was fun to catch up and talk about upcoming projects for his show.

Now for some fun statistics that we will be sharing after each tradeshow, so you can gauge if we know what we're doing!

  • Booth Set-up: 7 hours – crate got “lost in transit” from marshalling yard to convention center
  • Booth Tear-down: 1.5 hours – right on the money!

Here's the challenge for Hospitality Design Expo (HD Expo) 2014 during May back in Las Vegas, NV - can we break the booth records set at IBS 2014...see you there!
