Job Opening: Inside Sales Representative


We are seeking a full time Inside Sales Representative with the ability to provide assistance to our sales team and customers.

POSITION DETAILS

You will be responsible for the sale of high-end HVAC Grilles via direct outbound telephone contact (cold-calls) with existing, prospective and past customers in multiple states. Qualify and research leads, solicit orders, make appointments for outside sales rep(s). Keep client database up-to-date with the most current, accurate information including integrating tradeshow attendee lists. Send digital and print customer marketing mailings including but not limited to product samples and catalog requests. Ideal candidate must be able to work well with others in a fast paced and high volume environment, training will be provided.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inside Sales(this is not your typical telemarketing job), including but not limited to developing and maintain relationships with existing, potential and past customers
  • Pre-qualifies and researches leads to determine project requirements to meet customers’ HVAC or custom metalwork needs
  • Solicits orders and follows-up with Estimating Department to ensure leads are processed
  • Respond to basic technical questions regarding measurement calculation and installation of product
  • Schedule appointments and AIA presentations for Sales Team
  • Keeps record of daily phone calls/call report
  • Manages client database
  • Data entry
  • Sends digital and print marketing mailings
  • Manage multiple projects

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school education; undergraduate studies preferred
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to take and follow direction
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills to influence prospective customers
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while adapting to change
  • Career stability, energy, and ambitiousness
  • Computer literate and efficiency, ease and comfort communicating via email
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel)
  • Ability to comprehend and retain technical information
  • Problem solving/conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Bi-lingual a plus

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.  Ability to write correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.  Ability to draw and interpret graphs and charts
  • Reasoning Skills – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to prioritize and solve multiple issues/tasks concurrently

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Will be required to work in an office environment and possibly, occasionally in the field.  Minimal travel in NYC required (<10%)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard/telephone and reach with hands/arms.  The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit.  The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee must regularly lift up to 25 lbs

  • Pay Scale: TBD
  • FLSA Status: Non Exempt / Hourly
  • Bonus: Depends on hourly pay
  • Probation Period: 90 Days
  • Health Care: After 60 Days
  • Paid Holiday: After 30 Days
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
    • Beginning 1/1 after completion of six (6) months: 6 PTOs
    • Beginning 1/1 after completion of two (2) years: 12 PTOs
    • Beginning 1/1 after completion of three (3) years: 13 PTOs
    • Beginning 1/1 after completion of four (4) years: 14 PTOs
    • Beginning 1/1 after completion of five (5) years: 15 PTOs
    • Beginning 1/1 after completion of six (6) through nine (9) years: 20 PTOs
    • Beginning 1/1 after completion of ten (10) years: 25 PTOs
    • Bank up to five (5) PTOs
  • Company 401(k) plan plus Safe Harbor Match of 100% of what you contribute, up to 4% of your salary: After one (1) year
