We are seeking a full time Estimator with the ability to provide customer proposals in an accurate and timely manner, as well as provide exceptional customer service.

Description: Architectural Grille, a Division of Giumenta Corporation, located at 42 Second Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11215 is a family owned and operated manufacturing company that has been in business since 1945.

We are seeking a full time Estimator with the ability to provide customer proposals in an accurate and timely manner and provide exceptional customer service.


  • Assist in preparation and delivery of estimates and proposals to customers and salesperson in a timely manner
  • Answer estimating calls and assist walk-in customers
  • Read and Understand blueprints a plus
  • Metal Fabrication experience a plus
  • Contribute to team efforts to accomplish monthly goals
  • Add and maintain proposals and customer information within internal system
  • Perform other duties as required


  • Bachelor Degree (Preferred)
  • 2 plus years of estimating experience
  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Time Management skills
  • Problem sensitivity and creative thinking
  • Customer Service skills
  • Mathematical skills
  • Neat and organized
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to achieve intended objective

Working Conditions:

  • Travel is required from time to time
  • May be stressful due to interaction with many different people with different types of personalities, and being expected to perform multiple tasks quickly

  • Must be flexible with hands, wrists and arms to adjust to certain projects

Pay Scale: TBD

FLSA Status: Non Exempt / Hourly

Benefit Enrollment Package: 60 Days

Introductory Period / Evaluation and Accrue PTO: 90 Days

Paid Holiday’s and Performance Review: 180 Days

After Six Months:

  • Health Care
  • Paid Holidays

 Paid Time Off (PTO):

  • Beginning 1/1 after completion of six months: 6 PTO’s
  • Beginning 1/1 after completion of two years: 12 PTO’s
  • Beginning 1/1 after completion of three years: 13 PTO’s
  • Beginning 1/1 after completion of four years: 14 PTO’s
  • Beginning 1/1 after completion of five years: 15 PTO’s
  • Beginning 1/1 after completion of six thru nine years: 20 PTO’s
  • Beginning 1/1 after completion of 10 years plus: 25 PTO’s
  • Bank up to 5 PTO’s

After One Year:

  • Ability to contribute to the company 401(k) plan plus Safe Harbor Match of 100% of what you contribute, up to 4% of your salary
